Recently I had a thoughtful young man message me about my latest endeavor Fat Then Fit Now. The young man asked me why I was running a weight loss business. Among his comments, he stated that he had lost a great deal of weight and he himself now gives advice to people who ask for it.
That is commendable, but Fat Then Fit Now; A Life Beyond Weight Loss is not merely a few pointers and it is not solely about weight loss.
Fat Then Fit Now is an easy to follow plan, systematically arranged to help others win their own battle over obesity.
We have a real obesity problem. One that requires more than mere advice to be defeated. We need to take a methodical approach. Side by side with those committed to a healthier way of life like Jimmy Moore, Gary Taubes, Kimberly Hartke and other literary, research and internet sources, Fat Then Fit Now provides such an approach.
Besides having lost well over one hundred pounds and remodeling my body, I do have other credentials.
I have Associate and Bachelor of Science degrees as well my Doctor of Chiropractic degree. In addition to my practice, I am also an educator, among college course I have taught are Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology.
Because of the focus of my practice, I have had to attain additional training in Nutrition, Physical Exercise Rehabilitation, Neuromuscular Re-education, and Diagnosis and Treatment of Sports Injuries.
I have been honored to have been requested to be the team Chiropractor for several profession and semi-professional sports organizations.
I have been humbled by being asked to appear on numerous radio, television and internet programs concerning the topics of Obesity, Fitness, Weight Loss and Childhood Obesity.
Back when I began my weight loss odyssey, I weighed in at whopping three hundred and forty pounds. I took all of the above education and experience and developed an eating and exercise plan to not just lose a few pounds, but to redesign my entire life.
Because of that experience and education, I am fortunate to be able to give to my clients and readers a complete program to not only lose weight and get fit, but to regain control of themselves and change their own lives. The book demonstrate ways to stay focused. It inspires the reader to go beyond what they think they are capable of achieving. It is more than just advice. It is an easy to follow blueprint to help the reader win their own battle with obesity.
The young man also advised me that I should give my profits to “fat camps.” I do one day hope to establish some type of childhood obesity foundation. However, one of my clients pointed out, that if people would spend just under ten dollars to purchase my book, they would save all that money the fat camps cost, and perhaps there would be no need for any obesity related foundations.
